25th Gemini Awards - Visual Effects Winners Announced

Congratulations to the Visual Effects team on Ben Hur, including nominees Mario Rachiele, Marie-Ève Bédard-Tremblay, Benoît Brière, Raphaël Hubert and Pierre-Simon Lebrun-Chaput for their 2010 Gemini Award win for Best Visual Effects, received at the Industry Gala on November 3, 2010, hosted by The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

And congratulations to all the nominees, including Vancouver's Stargate Universe team Mark Savela, Brenda Campbell, Shannon Gurney, Vivian Jim, Andrew Karr, Michael Lowes, Kodie MacKenzie, Alec McClymont, Krista McLean and Craig Vandenbiggelaar; Stargate Universe received a total of nine nominations in the awards this year.

Other VFX Nominees were Dino Dan's Laurence Cymet, George Levai, Paul Moyer and Ila Soleimani; The Tudors' Robert Munroe, Bret Culp, Maria Gordon, Bill Halliday, Adam Jewett, Kyle Menzies, Bo Mosley and Patrik Witzman; and Carny's Mario Rachiele, Marie-Ève Bédard-Tremblay, Benoît Brière, Raphaël Hubert, Jean-Francois Lafleur, Benjamin Ribière and Philippe Sylvain.
