This is my first video tutorial...  It's surprisingly awkward to make these things.

Felt a bit like the first time I left a message on an answering machine!  Wink

And I had a cold...

And the microphone was cheap...

But enough excuses, I will make more and I will get better!

Animated "Lights" Video Tutorial

This tutorial was made for our Saucer/UFO Project which is part of the Visual Effects Program I teach at Lost Boys Learning.  I demonstrate some techniques that use an animated Ramp Texture to control the Incandescence across an array of small geometry based lights.  Think pulsating lights across the bottom of a Saucer Ala "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" or maybe a landing strip...

Use your imagination, I'm sure you can come up with other uses!

Please let me know if you have any requests and/or feedback.

I'd like to keep the concepts simple and modular.

Nice stuff, Mark!
I like this tutorial, it's very handy, and detailed.
It recalls what I learned in LBL, you know I use 3ds Max now, so it's really good for me!
I want to see more!! Grin
