September 8 - September 12, 2010Mark your calendars! Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH is pleased to announce its third annual celebration of animation, SPARK Animation '10.
Opening September 8, SPARK Animation '10 Conference & Festival will be full of inspiring speakers, panels and films. We've been hard at work for the last year putting together an exciting schedule to celebrate the incredible achievements and talent behind many of last year's groundbreaking films, covering technical and creative breakthroughs from a number of studios including Disney, Sony, Pixar and DreamWorks.
With the explosion of activity last year in Vancouver's computer animation community, SPARK Animation '10 is already set to be our biggest to date! The conference will open its 3-day run on September 9 with a keynote presentation from a celebrated speaker from the world of animation.Get ready to be inspired for the rest of the conference, full of informative panels and presentations as well as a special one-day track devoted to both the creative and technical elements of stereoscopic 3D. As always, we'll also be bringing you The Best of SIGGRAPH 2010.
Film aficionados will also get their fix during the 5-day festival, as we've been scouring the globe to present the best animated features from Annecy, Ottawa, SIGGRAPH and beyond to bring Vancouver and Canadian premieres to the city, as well as classic films that are rarely seen on the big screen.
And who doesn't like a party? Especially one where you get to rub shoulders with speakers from past and present conferences and a host of other industry professionals? We will be hosting 2 during the event, so don't miss the chance to mingle with your peers at our celebrated mixers.
Join us opening night where we kick things off with our Opening Party September 8, then help us say goodbye for another year September 11 at the Closing Reception, where we'll be on hand with beer, wine, music and mayhem! (as well as a few special surprises!)

VENUES
We're going bigger this year and are really excited to move to a new home for this year's conference. The Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver will be the venue for all conference activity.

Conference passes include entry to the featured speakers presentations, all conference panels, talks and a SPARK Animation '10 souvenir t-shirt. Please be aware that passes do not cover screenings at the VIFC.
TICKETS
A-la-carte tickets for the individual presentations will go on sale on August 30.
